Whether you're fluent, or just starting to learn to speak dinosaur, this book is amazing! --Dustin Growick, The Dinosaur Whisperer
Zanib Mian and Bill Bolton have written an absolutely adorable story in Oddsockosaurus. Most preschool and young elementary age children love dinosaurs. Mian and Bolton will draw in parents and young readers quickly and easily with the colorful, playful, and funny images within Oddsockosaurus. The creative dinosaur names they have offered will most likely be used by parents and children alike after they read this dinosaur fantasy. It feels like a fantasy because the little boy in the story gets to step into the roles of different pseudo-dinosaurs like Whyceratops, Mudiraptor, Fastosaurus and even Lovelyonychus. If you are a parent, you will quickly recognize these cute, funny, and sometimes annoying behaviors that children do. I certainly recognized my son from the beginning with Oddsocksaurus himself. The best part is how Mian and Bolton capture these childhood behaviors in such a sweet and innocent way. When your child shows up with one of these behaviors such as becoming sidetracked and playing with toys instead of looking for his shoes or brushing his teeth, you can just laugh it off and recognize your little Nofocusodocus dinosaur. Oddsockosaurus is truly a charming little children's tale with all sorts of innovative 'tails' inside. The imagery is very well done with captivating colors and scenes. For those crafty parents, ideas for dinosaur costumes just might be sparked as well. Zanib Mian and Bill Bolton give you an opportunity to relish playful dinosaur names and, perhaps, even a chance for you and your child to come up with your own. This is a must-have book for any young child's bookshelf. --Reader's Favorite
